When our bride Amy’s photographer sent over her wedding images we knew this was one you would want to see!
Poffie did chat with Amy a little about her experience as a bride and what it was like to shop at Poffie Girls.
Poffie: “Amy if you were to give our future brides just one tip what would that be?”
Amy: “One tip for a future bride to be…..Take a moment or two along the way to enjoy the wedding planning process. The same goes for your wedding day. Everything doesn’t have to be perfect for your day to be perfect for you & your new spouse. There is so much going on during your actual wedding day it feels like a blur….so take a moment….take it all in….enjoy the day!”
Poffie: “That is great advise we know all of our 2019, 2020 and even 2021 brides could surely use…thanks for sharing! So when you choose to shop at Poffie Girls and eventually said YES to your Stella York dress here with us, what was that experience like?”
Amy: “My experience at Poffie Girls was wonderful. My consultant Madeline, really listened to what was important to me and helped me find the perfect dress for me. I can not speak highly enough of all the staff at Poffie Girls. It was a fun, relaxed, and happy experience.”
Poffie: “So what about bridesmaids? The bridesmaids trend right now is a whole tribe or just one or two. What did you do?”
Amy: “I did not have bridesmaids, only a maid of honor. Her dress was also purchased at Poffie Girls and was stunning navy Christina Wu Celebrations bridesmaids design we both loved”
Poffie: “Your dress was stunning and was like it was just made for you! Stella York bridal is one our favorites where at the store! What was your favorite part?”
Amy: “My favorite part of my dress were the lace details & the fit. The lace detail was so beautiful!”
Poffie: “So your wedding photos are just amazing and it looks so romantic and fun! The venue Separk Mansion in Gastonia, NC was stunning! What would you say are some of the most memorable moments that stand out from your big day?”
Amy: “So Jereme’s (the groom) mother passed away before I met him, but we wanted to find a way to honor her in a personal way during the ceremony. We left a chair open up front where parents traditionally sit. My parents walked down the aisle & sat down. Then Jereme walked to the chair saved for his mother and laid a corsage (made exactly like my mothers) in her chair. I heard so many comments after the wedding about that moment. One other memorable moment was that I have 2 sons who are 18 & 13. They both walked me down the aisle & gave me away. Our ceremony was so personal to us, which was important. One last funny story…we had to cutest flower girl. (Her dress came from Poffie Girls too) During our rehearsal her shoes were bothering her, so she had practiced walking down the aisle, up a short set of steps to the pergola where we were all to stand. She stopped on the steps and took her shoes off. On the day of our wedding we told her to walk down the aisle just like we practiced. She did exactly that…even stopped on the steps and took her shoes off She totally stole the show. The cutest 2 year old flower girl!”
Poffie: “Well what does life look like now…after wedding day?”
Amy: “We honeymooned at Royal Sandals Barbados…Highly recommended! Currently living in Gastonia and loving my new official last name….Jackson!”
