DON’T GET SCAMMED BY COUNTERFEIT WEDDING GOWN RETAILERS ONLINE.
Here Are The Facts:
If the price seems too good to be true, then it is.
Online retailers might show you the same images you see on the designer’s website, but more often than not, these photographs are being used without permission, and you will not be receiving the same dress.
If you receive the dress, it may be a cheap knockoff version of the gown you fell in love with.
Think stiff, itchy fabrics, uneven seams, discoloration, and unflattering cuts.
Always check the designer’s website before making a purchase.
On every designer’s website, you’ll find a list of authorized retailers. These are the only stores permitted to distribute the designer’s gowns.
If you have a problem with the gown, you’re on your own.
Counterfeit gowns often arrive in wrong sizes and lengths. If it’s even possible to alter the gown, the costs can often exceed the purchase price, negating any discount you received by ordering the gown online.
What money back guarantee?
Often, counterfeiters promise a money back guarantee. However, you likely won’t be able to find any contact information on their website. No contact = no money back.
Shopping smart NEVER goes out of style!

On Tuesday, October 21, 2014, local vendors gathered at Separk Mansion to view the recently aired TV show “Brides of Honor.” Vendors snacked on light hors d’oeuvres including desserts provided by Jenn’s Sugarlicious Bakery and Le Petit Gateau while viewing the TV show that highlighted Gastonia and the many vendors that donated their time and talents to provide a military couple the wedding of their dreams free of charge. Syble Latta of Poffie Girls said, “It’s incredible to see the community coming together to give from their hearts, not for personal gain, to give back to our military for all that they have done for us.”
We are proud to host another Brides Across America event on Sunday, November 9, 2014! Please consider helping us out by donating gowns or volunteering your time! Brides must register for the event at www.bridesacrossamerica.com!
For the past three years, Poffie Girls has hosted an annual Brides Across America event that has provided over a hundred free bridal gowns to military brides who have been deployed in the last five years. In September 2013, Poffie Girls had the honor of being selected to take part in a television show called “Brides of Honor.” Poffie Girls decided that in addition to giving away a free dress to the bride, they would get the community involved and give one lucky couple an all-expense paid wedding. After reading their heartfelt story, Poffie Girls and the producers decided to choose Carla Perez & Zachary Blevins as the recipients of the free wedding. The show will be aired on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm on the Great American Country network. The story is quite an amazing one that will bring joy to your heart and tears to your eyes!
